Please Forgive Me...

I know I've been MIA for a while and I feel really bad about it. Winter has hit us pretty hard so my outfits pretty much consist of sweaters, leggings and my favorite boots from Evans. So there hasn't really been anything worthy of a post.
On another note, I am super excited for Christmas. I have gotten some really awesome presents for some of my family this year which I cannot wait to give to them. I will go into more detail after Christmas.
I promise there will be a bigger post coming soon because I have made quite a few super cute purchases lately and I also have some exciting news. I will leave you now with a picture of my "winter uniform".

Stay warm...

Pop goes the World...

my world went pop and all kinds of crazy on Monday because I got to see The Gossip! Beth was right there in front of me. She is so amazing. Even though she's a celeb, she's so down to earth always joking around. This time about her herpes that she thought was the only thing that people were looking at, which she supposedly got from Fergie. It felt like hanging out with a good friend who happens to be a pretty damn good singer. She's such a sweetheart. She even took the time after the show to sign some autographs, only to be bothered by her stupid security people and her girlfriend saying that they have to go because the bus is leaving. Umm hello? I don't think she's taking public transportation so the bus just needs to wait. Unbelievable... Anyway, I managed to squeeze in between the masses of people and got THE last autograph before she left. Yaaaaay, sorry but I'm just a little bit excited about that. So if The Gossip are ever in a city near you, make sure you go to the concert!!!

As promised I wore my new fascinator to the concert with my sequined dress. I've been having this happen a lot where I have this idea for an outfit but then when I put it on it just doesn't work for me. This is exactly what happened with this outfit. I think if the dress was a bit shorter and if I would have been able to wear heels then it would have worked for me. So, since I wasn't that happy with the outfit there's only one picture of the outfit but tons of pictures of Beth.

Dress- Torrid, Fascinator- H&M

Loved her dress and her Louboutin ballerinas, she's so fierce!

She changed her dress for the encore. Super cute.

Yes, she was right above me. I even touched her :-)

Right before she signed my ticket.

Better late than never...

Happy Thanksgiving and all that jazz. Sorry, I know I'm a little late. We had thanksgiving at my friends house, so I didn't have to cook, which was nice. I actually spent most of the day shopping with my mom. We got out makeup done, had some good lunch and I bought the cutest little fascinator from H&M, which I will be wearing on Monday for the Gossip concert. Yeah, I know you're jealous, I get to see Beth. Can't wait!!! Anywho, we didn't get to my friends house until after 4pm, so by the time we actually ate it was dinnertime. There was lots of delicious food and of course I ate way too much. Here's what I wore. I threw it together last minute because I didn't have time to really think about what I was going to wear because I spent too much time shopping. So there's all sorts of new things going on. I dyed my hair. It's no secret that I'm in love with Rihanna's style so I was trying to go red. Well that didn't really work out as I had planned. I guess that's what I get for trying to save a buck and did it myself (actually the hubby did it). The color turned out super dark, it basically looks black but in the sunlight you can see that it's red. I still like it though. Also if you notice, there's something missing... my glasses. I got contacts. I love my glasses and all but sometimes they take over my face too much, especially when I'm wearing makeup. I have to get used to them but so far I like them. You'll also be meeting my faithful companion, my sequined hobo bag from Zara. I love this bag so much and yes this is my everyday bag. A bit of sparkle is always a do! I also bought this new lipstick from wet n' wild. Don't judge, I'm on a budget. The color is amazing, I want to wear it everyday. Now, on to the pictures, sorry for the shininess, these were taken when I got home so my makeup was not at it's best.

Inspiration...

So I was talking before about how I've sort of lost my inspiration for creating new outfits. Well I think I've found some inspiration. One of my favorit blogs is MusingsofaFatshionista, Christina just always manages to look amazing and keep things interesting even though her outfits usually consist of all black. Since I bought my black maxi dress yesterday I thought I should just keep it nice and simple. I added my new black knitted vest instead of opting for a pop of color, which is what I would normally do. I threw on my H&M wedges that I got from my bestie for my birthday and added a somewhat masculine rope necklace and bangles. So the outfit is simple but I totally love it for some reason...

Please excuse my even worse than normal posing but I was/am exhausted and my feet were killing me so I just wanted to get it over with.

Where'd my Sleeves go...

The colder it gets the more I'm realizing that I really need to invest in some clothing that has sleeves. My closet is full of tops and dresses but the majority is either sleeveless or the sleeves are short. For now I guess I have to layer. The outfit today isn't all that exciting and I also don't really like the blazer anymore after seeing the pictures. Oh yeah, please welcome my new boots that I got from Evans. I basically only take them off when I go to bed. I'm so glad I kept them. So here goes nothing...

Stay tuned for tomorrows outfit. I think it's gonna be pretty cute. Went shopping with the bestie today and found a super cute black maxi dress WITH sleeves and an exposed zipper at H&M. It's also no secret that I love cardigans, shrugs, vests, boleros etc. so I just couldn't pass up this thick knitted waterfall vest that i also saw at H&M. It's so nice and soft, it might make an appearance tomorrow as well.

I have returned...

I've made it back home from my mini vacation to Bavaria. It's kind of funny that I live so close to all these tourist attraction but I've never been to so many of them. I got this really good deal on a 4 star hotel in Fuessen inlcuding breakfast and a 5 course candle light dinner. The castle Neuschwanstein happens to be right around the corner too and it's absolutley beautiful. So my hubby and I spent the last 3 days relaxing, eating and sightseeing. It was a well needed break.

I didn't take very many pics of my outfits because they were a little too casual. However I took plenty of pics of yummy food and the scenery.

Enjoy!

Yes, there was snow on the mountains.

Our room, simple and clean.

The bathroom was nice and spacious.
This was my outfit for our candle light dinner. Dress & Bolero- Torrid, Heels- H&M, Necklace- Swarovski

Me and the Hubby at our lovely dinner table.
This was actually the second course, potatoe foam soup.

Grape sorbet, yummy.

They chef was nice enough to make this just for me since I don't like meat that much. I love salmon though.

This was the actual main course, veal with pasta.

The dessert was sooo good, grape mouse with chocolate netting and vanilla foam.

The next day, after walking around in the rain all day we got a wonderful ayurvedic massage.
The view outside our bedroom window.

We had some amazing indian food, this was the only picture we could take because we got yelled at by the owner.

Last day, we took a horse carriage up to the castle because it's a 40 min walk up the hill.

This is the other castle that King Ludwig II had build, Hogenschwangau.

There it is, Castle Neuschwanstein.
The view once we got up the hill, stunning.

We could have walked to the bridge on the other side but it would have been another 20 min walk. It was just as nice from this side.
Me and the Hubby right outside the castle.
Inside the courtyard waiting for our tour to start.

Not a whole lot going on...

I haven't really worn any outfits worth mentioning lately. I've lost my inspiration. The Hubby and I are going on a mini vacay to see the castle Neuschwanstein. Maybe I'll find some inspiration there.

On another note. Even though I said that I was sending back both pairs of boots, I decided to keep the stacked heel boots after all. I got a second opinion from my mom and she said that they are definitely a keeper. My purse from Evans also arrived and I love it. It's a little bit darker and smaller than I expected but it's still really cute. The quality also seems to be rather good, so this was a good buy.

I shall return next week. Until then...

xoxo

Size DOESN'T Matter...

Like many other Fatshion blogger's I also believe in never going by what size the tag says on clothes. If I see something that I like, I will hold it up against myself and sort of see if I can squeeze my butt into it and surprisingly a lot of times I can. The key thing is to look for stretchy material. By doing this I have gotten quite a few pieces from H&M etc. that are labeled L or size 14/16 which I am definitely not. Usually I wear a size 22, depending on the brand.
Yesterday I went shopping with my bestie and I always have to make a stop at H&M. So here are a few dressing room pics. I apologize for looking a hot mess but we had already been running all over that mall.

The red dress and the cream colored dress thing are both from the regular collection. The blue and beige sweater are from their Big is Beautiful collection, which I  don't think they sell anymore in the states. Trust me, you're not really missing out on anything though. I ended up buying the cream dress and the blue sweater, although the sweater really isn't my style but it was marked down to 10 euro so I couldn't resist. I actually wore the cream dress today but didn't take any pictures because I was too exhausted. I know, I know. maybe I'll throw everything on real quick when my hubby gets back so he can take a quick shot of the outfit.

I also received my boots that I ordered from Evans and the one pair that actually fit looks a hot mess. The lace up boots are just too tight, so I'm sending both back. In exchange I ordered a really cute bag from there and the coupon code from my boot post still works. I'm really loving everything faux fur this season, so I just had to get my hands on this bag.

Fangs n' Thangs...

ok I have to admit that title is pretty cheesy. Anyhow, here in Germany people are just now getting around to celebrating Halloween. I suppose Fasching here would be the equivalent to Halloween in the US. It always starts with Weiberfastnacht on 11 Nov at 11.11am. On that day most businesses will only be open half day because everybody goes out partying afterward especially when you live in the Cologne area. Traditionally all the women go around and cut off the men's ties to "take the power" from them. Fasching lasts for a pretty long time until March or so. Throughout that time there's all sorts of get togethers where people dress up and there's all kinds of parades etc. I supposed you could also compare it a little bit to Mardi Gras.

So, back to what my post was originally going to be about... my Halloween costume. It's no secret that I LOVE the Twilight series, so it only made sense to dress up as a Vampire. I was all decked out with fangs and everything. On to the pictures... Please excuse the shiny face, these pictures were taken after the Party.
